Oral health has a great impact on the life expectancy of each individual, and this is what many people do not understand. First and foremost, the human mouth is the busiest part of the body and is recognized as a major gateway into the human body. Before the other part of the body gets affected, it is the mouth that feels everything first. The parts of the body has various inter-connected systems of organs. Meaning to say that if there is trouble with one body part, other parts may become affected, too. A person with bleeding, swollen gums, bad breath and receding gums may have bacterial infection of the gums that can result to the development of other medical problems in the future such as heart disease and stroke. The person may suffer from body malaise and loss of appetite, toothache, severe headache and earache. Numerous disease that affects the overall health of person have been linked to the oral health.
